"Fun" Novel

As I'm roughly 5 chapters into my first ever novel I've been giving it some serious thought. I don't think I'm going to really try and get it published. It's more of a huge experience for me just to see if I CAN even write a halfway decent novel. Each week I will post a new chapter so I hope you all stick with me and read and enjoy it! Although like I said I'm only on Chapter 5 at the moment so there will be periods of time where it will take me longer to write it on here.

I might eventually decide to print out my first novel and keep it as a keepsake and maybe give a copy to friends and family...

I might go ahead and start out by posting Chapter One this week, although I'm not sure. You'll just have to wait and see I guess :P

Ostara

So for those that read this I want you to know that I am pagan... Therefore a few of my poems may be centered around my spirituality. I'm not going to try to convert anyone, I just like being able to express myself through poems on holidays from time to time.

This wasn't a very long poem but I liked it :)

Ostara

The fresh buds break free

of the melting snow.

As the trees grow tall and great

I feel renewed and complete.

The birds sing and the flowers bloom

The world is born again in this spring

God and Goddess rejoice!!

For Ostara has come!

Broken Angel

This was a poem I had done back in high school. Although it seems pretty depressing I actually really enjoyed writing it. Feel free to give your feedback.

Broken Angel

 

 

I am a broken angel

Walking through the graveyard

I have fallen fast and hard

My world has come crashing down

All around me I see broken

Remains of a once happy girl

 

The blood and tears I shed

flow endlessly together in time

I wish I hadn't caused

my life to go all wrong

I want to be fixed

I want to be healed.

 

My companion is not here

He has left me fore dead

And while I try to bring peace and love

I get my heart torn apart

All I want is his love once again

 

He means so much to me, I miss him

But he turns from me, pushing me away

with his harsh and angry words

 

This broken angel doesn't want to go on like this anymore

I will watch as my blood and tears

seep out of my dying body

And as I slowly fade away this broken angel shall say

 

"Goodbye"



Blocked!

So, sadly to say as of right now I have severe writer's block. I can not think of a single poem to write. I'm at a stopping point before I even begun. I thought of posting my older poems from when I was younger, but they are the writings of a depressed girl at the time lol. Although I must say there is one I was proud of writing and it may be the only one I decided to copy onto this blog.

I sure hope this block passes soon cause I know deep down in me I have a good story or poem just waiting to come out!

The start of something new

Hello all,

I have decided to start this blog in hopes of expanding my hobby and interest in writing. I took up writing poetry in school and recently had the chance to reflect back on my school day writings. That has sparked me to want to continue. Most of my first poems were the ramblings of a young teenage mind and of course are a little darker, but that sounds like most high-schoolers now and days anyway lol.

I also hope to eventually try my hand at a novel, this will be a work in progress as I have NEVER attempted a novel before and its not something to just rush into. I hope to write about all sorts of things on this blog and I hope someday it inspires others to pursue their writing hobbies as well.

I might try my hand at a few articles as well, who knows?

I hope those of you that read this enjoy my writings and I'm ALWAYS looking for feedback. Good or bad, as long as it is expressed in a professional manner.
